Yes, we will have a completely confidential initial conversation. If we determine that you are a good fit, we will share high-level information with the buyer (without your name) to see if they're interested in learning more. Then, we'll have both parties sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement. Only then, will they learn who you are.
No. We often start conversations 6–12 months before a deal happens. We’re here when you’re ready. This buyer is on a long term acquisition process. Even if you're still a few years out from selling, it could be good to start talking now to get your business ready for sale.
That’s okay. If your company has strong AV capabilities and a B2B focus, we’re still open to learning more. This buyer has been known to look outside their core search criteria if a company is a great cultural and strategic fit.
As part of the deal, the buyer usually pays for the business valuation. After that the success fee is part of the negotiation.
Some sellers assume that we 'represent the buy side' since we are reaching out on behalf of the buyer. Actually, we are transaction brokers, meaning we represent the deal itself, not one side or the other. We generally work on both sides of the deal, so you won't need to hire your own broker.
